Suited men with credit card dreams

Drifting on white powdered seas

They never stop and wonder where this life is headed


Book shops fade away

As vape stores rise and stay

Moon beams bounce off

neon lights


Old people stooping at a red light

Cheap perfume punctuates the night

A woman lost in mobile fiction.


The shout of a drunk

left shipwrecked where he sunk

As haughty taxis sail past his addiction


Darkness now smothers the city

The stars look down to see,

plastic cups and paper bags floating aimlessly.
